A clear path from idea to operating business

The Business Development Program, Step by Step

See how PAV comes alongside you, from a brief introduction and invited full application through the first 90-day plan, launch, growth, and an evolving long-term relationship.

The program in four phases

See the big picture. Explore the details when you want them.

The four phases below explain the outcomes that matter most. When you want the full process, expand any phase to see its detailed steps.

Start With a Brief Introduction

Phase 01

Start with a simple introduction and follow the right path

Begin with a brief introduction so PAV can understand where you are today and determine the most useful next step.

What this phase accomplishes

  • Share your current stage, primary need, and what you hope to build
  • Identify whether you are developing an idea, growing a business, or exploring entrepreneurship
  • Receive a private next step when PAV believes the full application would be useful
See the detailed process for Phase 01
  1. A simple first contact

    Let PAV know you're interested

Click Apply and share a few basic details so we can open the conversation. This is a brief introduction, not the full application. You do not need a business plan, presentation, financial projections, or polished idea to get started.

  2. A few basic questions

Tell us where you are today

Share your contact information, current business stage, idea or existing operation, primary need, and general availability. If you do not have an idea yet and simply want to explore possible businesses, select Explore Entrepreneurship as your current place in the journey.

Choose the path that fits where you are today

Defined idea path

I already have an idea or business

If you already have an idea, startup, or operating business and PAV sees a potential fit, your next step is the full AI-guided Business Development application. Invited prospects receive private save-and-return access.

Entrepreneur Discovery path

I want to explore business ideas

If you do not have a defined idea yet, your next step is Entrepreneur Discovery. You will explore your interests, experience, resources, constraints, working preferences, and possible business directions.

Phase 02

Complete the full application and receive the assessment

Complete the full application for your path, receive practical feedback, and determine whether a working relationship makes sense.

Idea or business path

Complete the Business Development interview

Complete an interactive, AI-driven interview about you, your idea or current operation, customers, market, goals, risks, resources, and ability to execute. This is not a fixed questionnaire: the conversation adapts to your answers and asks relevant follow-up questions. Plan for approximately 30–60 minutes. Supporting documents may be requested when they help clarify your business or readiness.

Entrepreneur Discovery path

Complete the Entrepreneur Discovery interview

Complete an interactive, AI-driven discovery interview that adapts to your interests, experience, strengths, resources, constraints, working preferences, and possible business directions. This is not a fixed questionnaire, and its follow-up questions will respond to what you share. Plan for approximately 30–60 minutes. Supporting documents may be requested when they would add useful context.

  1. Review and practical guidance

Receive your free Business Readiness Assessment

PAV reviews your completed full application for compatibility and to confirm that we can add meaningful value. Everyone who completes that stage receives a free Business Readiness Assessment with practical observations, suggested improvements, and possible next steps, whether or not PAV offers an engagement.

  2. When PAV sees a potential fit

    Meet personally with PAV

If PAV would like to explore working together, we will contact you to schedule an in-person or virtual meeting with founder Kyle Payne. This conversation gives both sides a chance to discuss the opportunity, expectations, and working relationship. Some applicants may also be asked to complete verification steps or a practical follow-up.

  3. A clear human decision

    Receive the final decision

After the meeting and any requested follow-up, PAV makes the final decision. Accepted applicants receive an invitation to review the proposed engagement and move into contracting; applicants who are not selected still keep the guidance provided in their free Business Readiness Assessment.

Phase 03

Formalize the relationship and build the foundation

Acceptance begins the working relationship through clear terms, organized onboarding, practical planning, and coordinated foundation work.

What this phase accomplishes

  • Agree on scope, responsibilities, communication, and compensation before work begins
  • Establish the business baseline and first 90-day priorities
  • Build the strategy, systems, and technical foundation the business actually needs
See the detailed process for Phase 03
  1. Shared decision

    Review contracting and engagement terms

PAV presents the proposed scope, responsibilities, communication cadence, fixed-fee engagement pricing, service costs, third-party expenses, and written terms.

  2. Working setup

Complete onboarding and establish the baseline

The client and PAV organize access, existing documents, systems, contacts, key numbers, immediate constraints, and the starting condition of the business.

  3. Joint planning

Build or update the business plan and set the first 90-day action plan

When needed, PAV helps build a formal business plan or reviews and updates the client's current plan. PAV then converts the assessment, business plan, and baseline into a practical sequence of priorities, owners, milestones, dependencies, and measures for the first working cycle.

  4. Coordinated work

    Build the business foundation

Depending on the business, the work may include the offer and pricing, positioning, brand, website, CRM, intake, automation, operating systems, and performance scorecard.

Phase 04

Execute, review, and keep moving forward

The program is designed to continue beyond a document or launch through execution, accountability, and an evolving business roadmap.

What this phase accomplishes

  • Put approved priorities into action and test assumptions with real customers
  • Review results, solve obstacles, and refresh the roadmap at regular checkpoints
  • Continue with strategy, accountability, and practical support when it remains valuable
See the detailed process for Phase 04
  1. Implementation

    Execute launch and growth priorities

PAV and the client move the approved priorities into action, test assumptions with real customers, address obstacles, and adjust execution as evidence develops.

  2. Recurring cycle

Review results and refresh the roadmap

At regular checkpoints, PAV and the client review the scorecard, completed work, customer response, financial signals, bottlenecks, and the next 90-day priorities.

  3. Ongoing

    Continue the long-term working relationship

The relationship can continue through strategy, accountability, technical guidance, future systems, specialist coordination, and access to the developing PAV network.

Who the program is built for

You lead the business. PAV helps you move it forward.

You remain in control of every aspect of the business and make every final decision. PAV is here to provide strategy, perspective, and practical support when you need or want it—not to run the business for you.

A strong fit looks like

  • Honesty
  • Openness to feedback
  • Realistic expectations
  • Personal responsibility
  • Willingness to work hard
  • Strong decision-making
  • Ownership mentality

The program may not be right when

  • Someone expects guaranteed income or business success
  • Someone expects immediate funding
  • Someone expects PAV to operate the business entirely for them
  • Someone is unwilling to provide accurate information
  • The proposed activity is illegal, deceptive, unsafe, or exploitative
  • The opportunity is outside PAV’s current competence
  • PAV lacks capacity to provide meaningful support

Invited applicant benefit
